Here’s my dream AI right now: Super Power Meetings.
Here are the features:
- Documenting actions: As the meeting is happening in real time, the AI pulls from the transcript and lists out every action suggested. It makes suggestions for “Who does What by When based on project timelines. This would effectively end the phenomena of meetings happening and feeling productive, but things somehow not getting done.
- Discerning facts vs feelings and interpretations: As someone is talking during the meeting, the AI lists out the actual facts of the conversation. My guess is that would be about ten percent of what is spoken. Were the facts displayed in front of everyone, decision making would become a whole lot easier and there would be WAY less circular back and forth.
- Real time coaching from concern-orientation to commitment: This one is tricky. Because of our innate negativity bias, it’s really easy to spend a lot of time talking in meetings about what’s wrong. The AI would “coach” meeting participants to ask the question, “What’s your commitment behind this concern?” (And make suggestions to refocus the meeting based on those commitments).
- Automatic parking lot: As soon as a meeting goes down rabbit holes, a notification comes up, and the topic of the conversation moves to a “parking lot” list. This streamlines the meeting to stick with the agenda.
- Emotional thermometer: Using a Heart Math style gauge, the AI can interpret overall emotional sentiment throughout the meeting. When fear or anger starts to take over, the gauge would redline.
- Automatic decision registry: After every meeting, meeting notes with each decision made would be sent out to all participants and relevant parties.
